April 7th, the National Marine Fish Processing Technology Sub-Center (Xiamen) Experiment Base was founded in Dongshan County, Fujiang Province. The center is a marine fish processing technology experiment base in Fujiang Province established by the Ministry of Agriculture which will do contributions to building of the Straits aquatic products processing distribution base in Dongshan, Fujian province.

It is said that the National Marine Fish Processing Technology Sub-Center (Xiamen) Experiment Base will be established by Fujiang Province Aquatic Products Research Institute and Dongshan County Haikui Aquatic Products Group together. The main task of the base is to conduct research on new technology for aquatic products processing and new products as well as initial research for industrialization and scientific results transforming application.

Till now, the Cross-Straits aquatic products processing distribution base has laid a foundation and it has been the trade bridgehead for related products of Fujian and Taiwan.

Experts argue that the National Marine Fish Processing Technology Sub-Center (Xiamen) Experiment Base will be the “intelligent bank” for building Cross-Straits Aquatic products processing distribution base which will drive the research, development, promotion and industry updating of deep processing of marine fish products.

According to the rules, the Fujian Province Aquatic Products Research Institute will appoint professional personnel to the base to conduct technology instructions and technology research; Haikui Aquatic Products Group will mainly be in charge of the investment of the experiment base, constructing of hardware and software of the base , offering comfortable research and living environment for the research personnel; the Group will enjoy the right to transform the scientific results preferentially.
